The club meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Second Harvest Food Bank. Members will pack and sort vegetables and fruit for our Weston Park Produce Market on Saturday, Aug. 17. After we pack produce, lunch will be served.

Longtime WCTV news anchor Julie Montanaro will be our guest on Thursday, Aug. 22. Julie got her start at WCTV in Thomasville as a bureau reporter.

Rotary Golf Tournament
The Rotary Club of Thomasville and United Way Golf Classic, benefitting our Rotary Big Impact community projects and the Thomas County United Way, is Saturday, Aug. 24 at Country Oaks Golf Course.

GRSP Alumni Update
Susanne Alsaker
Susanne Alsaker was our club’s Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP) student from Norway in 2012-13.
She currently resides in and works for the municipality of Trondheim, Norway, as a municipal planner. Susanne and Camilo, her significant other who is from Chile, have recently purchased a a row house with a garden and even more importantly are preparing to welcome twins next spring.
If all goes as planned, Ross and Carol Jones will visit the family next June.
