Update on GRSP 2020-21 Giving

We are pleased to announce that the Rotary Club of Thomasville has made GREAT progress in exceeding President Brown’s GRSP Giving Goal of $25,000. As of January 31, 2021, Club members have given $27,956, exceeding our goal by almost $3,000 [$2,956]. We have another month in this year’s campaign with final donations to be in Savannah by the end of March. Teri White must have final donations in-hand on Thursday-March 25, 2021. The GRSP Giving Total for the Rotary Club of Thomasville, as of February 18, 2021, is $507,389.70.

GRSP Donor Awards Presented Two donor awards were presented at the Club meeting. Bert Guy, Chairman of District 6920; and GRSP Chair was on hand to assist Debbie Goodman, GRSP Committee Co-Chair in making presentations.

Andre’ Marria was recognized via Zoom, as the Club’s newest Jake Cheatham Fellow (JCF). This award is given in recognition of contributions of $7,500 or more and honors a long-time GRSP Trustee. Jake Cheatham served as the GRSP Secretary/Treasurer for over 30 years and was a member of the Rotary Club of Griffin. Andre’ was honored with a JCF plaque and sterling silver/emerald stone pin.

Bill Dickey was recognized as the Club’s newest Will Watt Fellow (WWF). This award is given in recognition of contributions of $1,000 or more and honors the founder of the Georgia Rotary Student Program, Will Watt, who was a member of the Rotary Club of Thomasville. Bill was honored with a WWF plaque and gold pin.
