Thank you Al Nicholson for bringing us Bob Hope , Early days with the Atlanta Braves & more!We could have listened to Bob Hope tell stories for hours! New Year Rotary ResolutionsThis Week's Program Terry Howell, will speak about the U. S. Naval AcademyTerry Howell is the Director of Strategic Alliance and Outreach programs for Military.com. A retired Coast Guard chief petty officer, he last served as a career development advisor. While at Military.com, he has worked with the Department of Defense to write the content for TurboTAP, the DoD’s online transition assistance program. In addition, Howell was the lead on a team of subject matter experts who developed the military skills matching tool for the Department of Veterans Affairs VAForVets website. He has used a combination of traditional and non-traditional education resources, military tuition assistance and the GI Bill to complete his BS and MBA. Join Us Back to School BlitzNext Week's Program Josh Small of Specatcor Management GroupJosh Small has managed Spectra facilities in Augusta and Aiken for nearly 12 years. He said he's looking to bring major attractions to Albany, like WWE Live, which will come to town in August. Small said since he started on May 1, he's been in planning mode. He said he plans to have at least one major event at one of the facilities each quarter. Small said you can expect big-name concerts from all genres, family acts and national acts in the city. "We're just trying to kind of build on that and bring a couple more events that haven't been here in the past so we can slowly start to take the building to the next step. It's not going to happen overnight but we're putting all of that in place to get to that next step," explained Josh Small. Aside from WWE Live, Small said they are in negotiations for possibly three other events this year. Small also said they are looking to hire new positions for their marketing department and sales department to assist with those plans. Are you ready for our? United Way Golf Classic Tournament on August 25th at Country Oaks
