Immediately following THIS week's Rotary Meeting, we will be packing binders with the supplies donated by Rotarians for our AVID Service Project.
AVID (Achievement via Individual Determination) is a college readiness system that will be instituted into Harper Elementary, MacIntyre Park Middle School, and Thomasville High School for the upcoming school year. The students will receive assistance in organization, study skills, critical reading, writing, and preparing for college and career. The program comes with many needs, some of which are supply needs. The Rotary Club of Thomasville has supplied these items this year for 150 students.
Please join us as we prepare the final stage of our donation and assemble each binder with needed items.
Debbie & Wallace Goodman were excellent hosts last week for the Meet & Greet reception for our G.R.S. P. Student, Felipe Fernandes Lopez from Brazil. We had 33 Rotarians and 13 family members who attended.
Thank you to all who brought food, to all who came, and to Debbie & Wallace for opening your home.
