About
The annual day of service and celebration and volunteerism benefits more than 40 Different project sites and brings together more than 1,200 community volunteers of all ages, resulting in more than 4,500 hours of Service. Since Hands on Thomas County was founded over 20 years ago, The Rotary Club of Thomasville has volunteered by providing landscape services at The Vashti Center, a residential and outpatient service for troubled adolescents in Southwest Georgia, a ministry of the United Methodist Church.
On October 24, 2023, we celebrated 20 years of giving back with Hands On Thomas County for their annual Hands on Thomas County Day (HOTC Day.) Rotary's commitment to helping Hands on Thomas County "Doing Good Since 2003" continues strong, and we couldn't be prouder with our 20th year volunteering for this wonderful cause. Our members, John Comita Jr., Copper Allen Comita, and John Kepler, joined forces to make a difference at Vashti Center for Children and Families.
The mission? Removing shrubs and vegetation to pave the way for important renovations. Huge thanks to New Hire Solutions for partnering with us on this inspiring project, contributing to its success!
HOTC Day is about community, and we're thrilled to be a part of it. With 60 volunteer projects across Thomas County, it's a day dedicated to making our home even better.
