Rotary District 6900 is encouraging all clubs in our district to participate in a mental health project of sort to remove the stigma, raise awareness, and/or improve mental health in our community, online, or any general way possible. Rotary Club of Thomasville is taking on this challenge and providing short tips on Wednesdays in the new year and referring to these posts as "Wellness Wednesday" tips!Help us spread the word each Wednesday as we publish quick wellness tips to our club and our Facebook community.

Mar 13: Write in a journal. Expressing yourself can be therapeutic.
Mar 20: Volunteer for a local charity. Helping others can improve your mood.
Mar 27: Practice mindfulness. Be fully present in a routine activity, like eating or showering.
April 2024
Apr 3: Try a new healthy recipe. Good nutrition can impact your mental health.
Apr 10: Create a relaxing bedtime routine to help you wind down.
Apr 17: Laugh! Watch a funny movie or read a comic strip.
Apr 24: Identify and challenge a worry or fear. What’s the worst that could happen?
May 2024
May 1: Do a digital detox for the evening. Spend time away from screens.
May 8: Practice saying "no" to things that overextend or stress you.
May 15: Spend time with a pet. Animals can provide comfort and reduce anxiety.
May 22: Reflect on your achievements. Write them down and celebrate your progress.
May 29: Try yoga or gentle stretching to relax your body and mind.
June 2024
June 5: Set boundaries for work-life balance. It's okay to take a break.
Each tip is designed to be easily shared and understood, perfect for a social media format. They cover a range of mental health aspects, including physical activity, mindfulness, nutrition, social connection, and self-care.
The graphics are branded with Rotary, fall within the the brand center’s guidelines, and created by our own Rotarians and no additional cost.
