Her goal as Work-Based Learning Coordinator is to provide the best learning environment possible so that they can become successful business men and women with a competitive edge for the global marketplace.
On August 8, 2016, Michele was awarded the title of "top Gun SBL Educator" through a partnership between the Georgia Department of Education's Career, Technical and Agricultural Education division; the Career, Technical and Agricultural Education Resource Network and the Work-Based Learning/Youth Apprenticeship Affiliate of the Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education. The three organizations teamed up to sponsor a unique staff developing training for WBL coordinators who have excelled in a specified set of performance criteria. Twenty teachers/WBL coordinators were invited to attend the Top Gun training, representing all regions of the state. During the training, participants were awarded points for their performance in group activities and the quality of the documents they created. In 2016, Michele Ausley home took the title.
