September
Coat and Blanket Drive Ongoing

Don't forget: Rotary is collecting new and gently used coats and blankets to support the Thomas County Food Bank’s Coat Closet.

Please bring coats, blankets, or cash donations to the meeting, drop your donations off at Brigit Smallridge’s office or send money to Brigit via Venmo @Brigit-Smallridge. Cash donations will help the organization buy coats and blankets at discounted prices. Even a $5 or $10 donation can buy a coat or blanket.

Rotary has supported the Coat Closet almost since the launch of the Thomas County Food Bank about 20 years ago. The Coat Closet is open from mid-October through early December during regular food bank hours. Volunteers schedule Food Bank clients to “shop” for coats for their families. Children are offered coats annually and adults can get them every two years. Blankets are distributed as needed. All clients meet income and circumstance qualifications for food assistance.

Typically, the coat closet provides more than 1,000 coats and several hundred blankets every year.

Have you paid your dues?
Consider Online Payment

Invoices for quarterly dues were issued this week. Have you paid your dues yet?

It is easy to pay online! Simply log into your thomasvillerotary.org account and click the outstanding invoice frame near your name at the very top of the page. If you have not set up an option for electronic payments yet, follow the steps on the page. To connect your bank account, you'll have to link your account, then verify two small deposits Rotary makes into your account, and that process may take a couple of days. But once you're set up, you do not have to validate your checking information again, and your next quarterly payment can be automated!

For assistance, speak to Warren Ballard or one of the team at the back table at a meeting.

Thursday, Sept. 25
Darcy Craven: Archbold Hospital Update

This week, Darcy Craven, Archbold Medical Center president and CEO, will give a presentation about the state of the hospital system in 2025.

Darcy is a Rotarian who has been president and CEO of Archbold Medical Center for five years. Prior to that, he was president of the Millard Filmore Suburban/DeGraff Memorial Hospitals, part of Kaleida Health, the largest healthcare provider in western New York, and CEO of Carolinas Hospital System.

Be sure to be at Rotary tomorrow to hear Darcy's presentation about the hospital network.
