- Rotary Leadership Institute – Saturday, Jan. 10

Bring a friend who may be interested in Rotary and help us grow our club. New members build enthusiasm among our membership, encourage more volunteerism, and positively impact our community in many ways. Thursday, Jan. 15 & Saturday, Jan. 17 Sort, Pack & Distribute Fresh ProduceThe club will meet on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 11:30 a.m. at Second Harvest Food Bank to pack food boxes for this month's fresh produce distribution. After we finish packing, enjoy a box lunch with the team or grab one to go. Please join us!
We'll distribute our fresh produce boxes on Saturday, Jan. 17 at Weston Park. Set-up begins at 7:30 a.m., and distribution begins at 8:30 a.m. or as soon as we are ready. Each month, we distribute more than 25 pounds of fresh produce and a protein to more than 200 community members in need as part of our Big Impact Project. Those who benefit from the project complete USDA paperwork validating their household income before they receive assistance, and often are in line to receive produce several hours before set up begins at 7:30 a.m. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or trying it out for the first time, we’d love to see you there. Bring your energy, your smile, and maybe a friend or two! Saturday, Jan. 10 Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI)Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is Saturday, Jan. 10 in Building D at Southern Regional Technical College in Thomasville. Please arrive between 7:15 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. to sign in, network, and enjoy a light breakfast. Lunch will be provided and sessions will wrap up by about 3 p.m.
Part 1 is required for all Thomasville Rotarians. Subsequent parts are strongly encouraged. If you are interested in attending but did not RSVP, please contact Arthur Wigfall ASAP. What is RLI? Rotary Leadership Institute is a multi-district leadership and Rotary development program designed to strengthen Rotary clubs through quality leadership education. RLI courses are led by experienced, trained facilitators and are structured in interactive sessions that focus on developing leadership skills, deepening understanding of Rotary’s mission, and providing practical tools for service, membership, and club effectiveness. RLI is not an official Rotary International program but is highly recommended for members who want to grow, contribute at a higher level, or prepare for future leadership roles.
