Interact Club

For many years, the RCNA has been partnering with Chamblee Charter High School to sponsor their Interact Club. This year's RCNA liaison is Broc Fisher, who also has a daughter at the school.

An Induction Meeting was help on October 3, 2014, bringing the total membership to approx. 120 students. Attending from the RCNA were Broc Fisher, Dr. Ralph Peeler, and Jon Yaeger.

Interact students are very involved in their community. Projects include: 1) Trees Atlanta; 2) Refugee Computer Classes; 3) Pennies for Patients Posters; 4) Cemetery Cleanup ; and 5) the Laws of Life Essay Contest.

RCNA members are active in the cemetery and essay projects, as well as RYLA (if a Chamblee Student is selected). In many ways, the Interact Club represents the future of Rotary.

Accordingly, PE Dr. Ralph Peeler took the lead on a fundraiser to supplement the $200 in our budget for club activities, and raised at least $350.00. He is also planning to apply for a District Grant in his year for the benefit of the Interact Club students.

The RNCA has given high priority to maximizing interaction and cooperation between the two clubs.
