All Middle School and High School and Community-based Interact Clubs and Interact Advisors are invited to attend the District 6900 Interact Conference on Nov. 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Global Impact Academy, 155 Shaw Drive, Fairburn, GA 30213 (Fulton County Schools’ new STEM High School). The conference is FREE to registered attendees and includes lunch! Please share this information with your club's Interact Advisors and get your Interactors and Advisors registered at https://rotary6900.org/event/6622
Interactor Leadership Training: The conference will focus on Leadership Development and Interpersonal Communications for our Interactors - led by Amy Head, a licensed clinical social worker and owner of New Perspectives for Life, and by CJ Stewart, President of Atlanta West End Rotary Club, for small group engagements. Students will receive a certificate for participating!
Advisor Training: Interact Advisors will participate in a Best Practices session led by Becky Nelson, former District Interact Chair.
Service Projects: We encourage all Interact Clubs and sponsoring Rotary Clubs to participate in a District-wide service project collecting new socks for the homeless and collecting school supplies for the students of Newnan High School, which was destroyed by the tornado in 2021. Interactors will pack the collected supplies after lunch. The Interact Club that donates the most new socks will win a $100 gift card. The service project will be led by Ceasar Gaiters, Assistant Governor, and John Thrasher, President of the Newnan Rotary Club.
Trade Show: We will also have a “trade show” of potential service projects led by Scott Doll, Past President of Alpharetta Rotary. Please contact Scott if you would like to promote your service project to Interactors and Interact Advisors at the conference.
