“MAP International is a Christian organization providing medicines and health supplies to those in need around the world so they might experience life to the fullest. MAP serves all people regardless of religion, gender, race, nationality or ethnic background.” MAP is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, headquartered in Brunswick, Georgia and led by Rotarian and polio survivor Steve Stirling. MAP was started in 1954 by Ray Knighton, an administrator at the Christian Medical Society in Chicago. Since then MAP has served millions of people all over the world to fulfill its mission “to provide life-changing medicines and health supplies for the world’s poorest, most vulnerable people.”
Steve is offering a unique opportunity for District 6900 Rotarians to tour the headquarters of MAP International at 4700 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Georgia, on Saturday, March 23, 2024 as part of the 2024 District Conference. Steve has spoken at Rotary events all over the world, to include many clubs in District 6900.
