Thursday, Dec. 18 & Saturday, Dec. 20 Sort, Pack & Distribute Fresh ProduceThe club will meet on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 11:30 a.m. at Second Harvest Food Bank to pack food boxes for this month's fresh produce distribution. After we finish packing, enjoy a box lunch with the team or grab one to go. Please join us!
We'll distribute our fresh produce boxes on Saturday, Dec. 20 at Weston Park. Set-up begins at 7:30 a.m., and distribution begins at 8:30 a.m. or as soon as we are ready. We need volunteers! December is a busy month and our typical Thomas University volunteers have already left for the holiday, so we need all hands on deck for this distribution. Each month, we distribute more than 25 pounds of fresh produce and a protein to more than 200 community members in need as part of our Big Impact Project. Those who benefit from the project complete USDA paperwork validating their household income before they receive assistance, and often are in line to receive produce several hours before set up begins at 7:30 a.m. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or trying it out for the first time, we’d love to see you there. Bring your energy, your smile, and maybe a friend or two! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Our next meeting will be Thursday, Jan. 8. Register Now Rotary Leadership Institute ChallengeThe Rotary Club of Thomasville is excited to issue a club-wide challenge encouraging all Rotarians to attend the upcoming Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) on Saturday, Jan. 10 at Southern Regional Technical College in Thomasville. What is RLI? Rotary Leadership Institute is a multi-district leadership and Rotary development program designed to strengthen Rotary clubs through quality leadership education. RLI courses are led by experienced, trained facilitators and are structured in interactive sessions that focus on developing leadership skills, deepening understanding of Rotary’s mission, and providing practical tools for service, membership, and club effectiveness. RLI is not an official Rotary International program but is highly recommended for members who want to grow, contribute at a higher level, or prepare for future leadership roles. Our Club Challenge The goal is simple: Have at least 10 Thomasville Rotarians registered for RLI by New Year’s Day. Whether you’re a new member seeking a deeper understanding of Rotary or a long-time Rotarian looking to expand your leadership skills, RLI is an engaging, inspiring, and valuable experience with something new to learn for everyone. If you are interested in attending please contact Arthur Wigfall ASAP. Lets have exceptional club attendance!
